Infiniti Eurosport Review
With this post we present Federica, a young volunteer of the National Civil Service that will give its service to The Gate until December. The National Civil Service Volunteer is an experience of active citizenship to all Italian citizens aged 18 to 28 years who was born with the objective of facilitating the realization of constitutional principles of social solidarity. Gives the chance to spend 12 months of his life to themselves and to other formats, acquiring knowledge and experience and maturity a civic conscience. All through the concrete action in solidarity projects, cooperation and assistance. Let the interview!
Hello Federica, why you chose to engage in a year of civilian service?
I made this choice because I needed new ideas and experience to give me the opportunity to grow both professionally and personally. The inclusion of local development in the agency The Gate has taken place through the City of Turin - Department Urban Regeneration. Working here at Gate offers me the opportunity to see up close the reality of the neighborhood and I'm happy. It 's a very complex area and the the same time very fascinating!
What fascinates you the Porta Palazzo?
Porta Palazzo is a spell. It 's a mix of languages, colors and smells different. The
Balon and the market for fruit and vegetables have the ability to bring you back in time, transported to another era. Residents of Porta Palazzo interact with an ease that is not noticed, in my opinion, no 'other area of \u200b\u200bTurin. It 's a world apart.
What are the activities that follow to The Gate?
Throughout the year my role will be to cooperate in the implementation of measures aimed at young people of Porta Palazzo, through the work of the network table young people. I will also present at the information desk, this is a reception area for local residents and shopkeepers and collects the critical area attempting to offer answers and solutions.
Do you have a dream to be realized in Porta Palazzo?
This question is more difficult. There are many things I'd like to see done but what I'd really like is that you dispel this myth of the "dangerous" Porta Palazzo. The district is a complex area but I would be working to eliminate stereotypes and fears. Federica
thank for his willingness and wish you a big "good luck" for this experience in Porta Palazzo!
