Vaughan's skill with this kind of characters is almost disarming. Assemble a group of teen-agers from outstanding personalities and interesting, and characterizes them in a fresh and intelligent, laying bare all their forces, but also their weaknesses and their innermost fears, comparing them with situations much more bigger than themselves.
Splendide all the scenes inside the hostel, where children spend most of their time, and where all the elements that are out there make the characters three-dimensional;
is also the theme of homosexuality, but with grace and without falling into banality or even in torbido.Chase looks like the idiot of the group, but soon turns out to be a cohesive element to which the rest bums can not waive, nor can it give up Alex, their leader, or even the little Molly, innocent and lovable;
The icing on the cake are Nico and Gert: their characterizations are simply perfect. The
a somewhat 'naive, the other disillusioned, Nico tries to accept the new condition of fugitive clinging to Alex, Gert instead reacts in a totally opposite, relying only on their forces without too much reliance on anyone else.
These elements are more than enough to fascinate readers of all ages, with honors, and to promote the work of Vaughan, awaiting the second series of stories.

improvements compared to the stories of the previous volume is considerable, his pencils are simple and clean and have similarities with those of Joshua Middleton.
