The House of citizens has opened its doors in May 2007 and since then he accepts the people of Porta Palazzo in the courtyard of the number of four square of the Republic. The adventure began at 6:00 to 7:00 people, today's volunteers are 3: Caramel lavuri, Daniela Petrocco and Adriana Romeo. Every Wednesday and the second and fourth Saturday of each month receive and listen to the fears, anxieties and hardships that make people feel unsafe in the neighborhood. The house comes from the idea of \u200b\u200btaking an active role in public service for citizens, using the skills acquired in years of commitment to the neighborhood.
What the House: the role of citizens in the interface between the non-organized citizens of Porta Palazzo and institutions, with a secretariat function and social orientation, and its goal: speed up resolution of small problems or discomfort experienced by everyday people , how it works: using the networks already operating in safety.
Whoever turns over the counter are street vendors, craftsmen, building managers, traders and residents and anonymity is always guaranteed. Before the volunteers listen to the person and his discomfort, then try to collect sufficient details to transfer to the competent authorities reporting. A review of the reported phenomenon is done in a systematic way. "Carmelo is a specialist on the spot checks," says Adriana. So over the years have gained credibility, both among people and between institutions. CITY 'FOR SAFETY CITIZENS Painters
100 cities for safety week is organized by the Italian Urban Safety Forum to give visibility to the variety, richness and creativity with which local authorities interpret the security policies in light of the fundamental principles of liberty, equality of rights and democracy.
Within this week, the Province of Turin, in collaboration with The Gate project, organized a conference entitled: "100 City Safety - 27 projects for a safer province - Building and tell the security built into our territories. "
The initiative will be an opportunity to present projects that have been made in the province, to meet on the subject of integrated security and to know the results.
The conference will be held Friday, October 22 at the auditorium of ' Avogadro Institute, Via Rossini 18 9.00 16.30
